""Taz"
|
Taz is a sweet little boy who came to us when his Mom couldn't keep him any more. We could tell immediately that he had problems. After a visit with the vet we found that he had a pretty bad head injury, was blind, deaf and was crippled.
He had surgery to put a plate in his head and took medications to take away the fluids on his brain that was causing the pressure. He regained his hearing but his sight is still terribly limited. His limp and walking funny also cleared up as it was caused from pressure on a nerve from the fluid.
He seems to see light and shadows but only from a distance. He was a scant 2.4 pounds on intake, just a little bag of bones but now he is up to a fat 5 pounds. He will have one more surgery to remove the plate when his skull heals and then we can talk about adoption.
